Questions about billing and commitment

When am I charged?

Nothing for the first 14 days. Your first charge is on day 15, and you can add a card any time before then.

Is there a per-client or per-claimant fee?

No. Client users are unlimited on every plan, including Starter. Seats are for your own staff.

What if I go over my case limit?

Nothing stops working. You'll see a banner at 80% and again at 100%, and you move up a tier when you're ready. Case creation and client messaging are never blocked.

Do I need a case management system to use CaseActive?

No. It works standalone, and it works on top of the one you already have. Syncing with an existing system uses the API, which is on Growth and above.

Can I cancel?

Yes, monthly, from your admin panel, with no annual contract and no cancellation fee. Cancelling doesn't delete anything, so your data is still there if you come back.

Is my clients' data secure?

Yes. Client data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on AWS, and access is governed by role-based permissions enforced on the server rather than in the interface. Because PI and mass tort firms handle medical records, we will sign a business associate agreement on request.
